About Us

Terrace End School is a primary school set in the heart of historical Terrace End.  Although there has been a school on this site since 1884, our school was extensively remodelled and modernised in 1999 enabling children to learn in functional, attractive and stimulating classrooms. In 2009 we celebrated 125 years.

Visitors to the school will find an atmosphere where everybody knows and cares about everybody.  Children learn amidst a park like setting and we pride ourselves on being the “City School with the Country Feel”.

The School Community

Terrace End School has a very supportive community and we encourage friends and family to be involved in the school environment as much as possible.

Profile

Terrace End School is a state co-educational primary school in the Manawatu region of New Zealand.

Property and Grounds

Our grounds cover 3.6 hectares so only a small portion of the school is viewed from the road.   The Palmerston North Cadets have adopted the Memorial Gates at the front of the original school pool and have revamped the area to its original splendour.  Our own wonderful group of volunteers have completed the task by repainting the exterior of the pool building.

Our new adventure playground is in constant use and the old playground has been updated and is still popular with the children.
